A recap of our recent RACV breakfast panel event
As part of our 20-year celebration, we recently held an event on Change and it's Future at RACV. Thanks to those who were able to join us and also to our great panelists Tracey Penington, Cat Heffernan, and Ifrin Fittock, for their insights and expertise. We had a lively discussion on tried and tested approaches that still work, and then the changes that all organisations need to make to manage change in this dynamic, fast-paced world we all operate in.
Our discussion highlighted the continued importance of:
- People and trust as the foundation of transformation – even when there isn’t always job stability, be open and authentic with people
- Governance & clarity to enable (not block) progress
- Customer focus in every step of change
- Building capability across leaders and employees – change needs to be a way of being for organisations now
- Target Operating Model – is critical (even though its often changing) and is not owned by the business analysts or change managers – it is owned by the business!
- Executive sponsorship as a critical success factor – that old chestnut!
