A couple of weeks ago I attended an AI for Change Professionals workshop exploring how AI is being applied across the change lifecycle, from discovery through to embedding change.
My key takeaway? AI is quickly becoming a practical tool for analysis, planning and content creation, but successful change still comes down to people, communication and engagement.
This is less about the tools themselves and more about how we use them, requiring clarity of thinking, communication and intent when framing problems and shaping inputs.
The tools are evolving quickly. The core of good change practice isn’t.

• Lots of key messages that I took away and some ways of thinking which also came from the breakout groups we were in as it was such a dynamic group.
• The workshop provided great insight into the importance of performing a Change Impact Assessment as the starting point for developing any change plan. A key takeaway was the discussion about Day One Target Operating Model, this provided perspective on the importance removing the ‘grey’ and aligning stakeholders to be on the same page for successful change.
• I found the breakout rooms discussing the case studies to be one of the highlights of the workshop, as it was an opportunity to apply learnings from the session and to hear thoughts from the experienced change practitioners in my group.

The Transformation Specialist Course was better than I anticipated.
